Learn From Your Past
In this week’s episode, Tony and Jill discussed why all of us need to learn from our previous relationships and love again.
Jill told listeners that if they experience a breakup, they should take the time to focus on themselves. Learn what your identity is without that person in your life. Rediscover what you love about yourself.
Meanwhile, Tony urged listeners to reflect on what went wrong in the relationship and whether you gave anything up to have that relationship. If you did, make a point to embrace what used to bring you joy.
Both have more suggestions:
- Â Remember to retain your identify. Unless your partner makes you a better person, be you. If you find that you’re having to be someone you’re not, then you’re not with the right person.
- Â Understand that you don’t have to have a mate to be happy. The best relationships occur when you are first happy with yourself.
- Â If you find that your relationships keep ending because of the same reason, then reflect on what lesson you are supposed to learn.

I understand that couples break up and then find someone with the same foibles as their exs (spelling?). Your advice is spot on–discern how relationships keep ending, and if it’s because of the same reasons, reflect on the lesson you are supposed to learn.
