Season 2/Episode 16: Covid-19 Breakups

In All Seriousness

Wait to Separate

In this week’s episode, Jill and Tony discuss the increased number of breakups during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Tony told listeners to wait until shelter-in-place restrictions end to part ways or divorce, if they discover they actually do not like their partner or spouse.

Jill agreed and urged listeners to find a way to distance yourself from that person.

They also have more suggestions:

  • Put your wellness at the top of your priority list
  • Write your emotions down or meditate to release them instead of holding your feelings within or taking them out on others
  • Work on being your best self. It helps with future relationships

What do you think people in this situation should do? If you ever endured a breakup, how did you get past it?

Please leave your answers in the comments section. We love hearing from you.

Thanks for your listening support.

Wow—what a nightmare to be quarantined with someone you don’t like. However, for some isolation generates a lot stress, so maybe it’s not that persons don’t like each other as much the stress creates a different way of living. Both of you give excellent advice when you say try and create space and wait out the pandemic before taking action. These measures could ease the tension and, ideally, present a logical way forward. These times will bring much to light and much to a head.

Thanks, Mary, for commenting. Great point about stress creating a different way of living. We may have to quote your last line, “These times will bring much to light and much to a head,” in a future episode. Stay tuned. Much love and light to you and Denis.
