Yeah sometimes our baggage becomes a co-dependent thing, and then we do seek to replace the drama and dysfunction with something else…self medication, drink, drugs, sex, excessive working out. this was a great session. i admire your bravery and honesty to put it out there….
Thanks, Coyote, for taking the time to comment. Whew! It’s sometimes hard to put it out there, but we keep trying to let people know they aren’t alone in their situation. Thanks again for listening.
I love, love, love Tony’s poem! It seems to me someone should write music for it and it could be a song. Wow!
Baggage, yep, have had plenty of that, and for me, like Tony, I acquired most of it going up. Weirdly, I think we’re supposed to experience sadness for our evolution. In the second part of my life I’ve been able to unload a lot of baggage, but I don’t think I’ll be truly free until I finish my memoir. Well, if I can ever be truly free. I think it’s my destiny. Okay, I told you it was weird.
Tony thanks you for your praise of his poem. We’re with you on your comment about baggage in that it is never truly gone. Tony says that is why he stuck to discussing his scars. We look forward to someday reading your memoir. We miss seeing and talking to you and Denis.
