As you know we’ve moved a lot. I’ve been onboard, though mostly it was Denis’s idea except for the move to Colorado. That time he was more inclined to stay in Cartersville, Georgia, or move to Hawaii (long story). He might have been resentful, but because the Colorado move was paid for by employer, making it the only one we didn’t have to do ourselves, he was grateful.

Anyway, we have a great life here, but politics weighs us down. There has been discussion about various places with New Zealand (too far away and very expensive) and Canada (too cold and also rather expensive) rising to the top of the list. But I have a problem with moving because it takes so much time and energy, two things I’m in shorter supply of these days. Plus I have my projects that I don’t want to sideline. I mean writing a book is hard under ideal—if there is such a thing—circumstances.

So, my advice is do it while you’re still young. All I’m sayin’.

Yes, you have definitely moved around a lot, and we can definitely relate to what you said about the heavy weight of politics. Neither Tony nor I like to move, but I can understand Tony’s reasons for wanting to now. Fingers crossed that don’t have to.

Ps. However you both need to see advantages and want to do it. Yes, I like Jill’s compromise.

Thanks! Tony thinks it’s a good compromise, too.
