    I think going to the High was a wonderful way to spend Valentine’s Day. Gifts and going out for dinner or whatever just because it’s Valentine’s Day can be such a burden. I mean first it’s V’day, then birthdays, then Christmas and New Year’s Eve, and finally–the one I think most important—the wedding anniversary. It can be too much to mark all these occasions, and—in my opinion—all are more important than Valentine’s Day, which is pretty much hyped to make us spend our money. It can be fun to get flowers and candy—if you like that sort of thing—once in a while but every year? Then it becomes old hat. Maybe I’m just low energy.

      You’re not low energy at all. We agree wholeheartedly that wedding anniversaries are important. The other holidays? Meh. Especially when you show you love someone each and every day. ❤️
